A woman was beaten and then robbed near the University of California, Berkeley campus, according to authorities.
At approximately 1:21 a.m., a woman walking on the 2200 block of Hearst Ave. walked, hit in the head and then her purse was stolen. The suspect ran from the area wearing a white shirt and black pants, authorities said.
