Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actor, Tenoch Huerta, reveals the two MCU characters Namor would love to meet, but they’re both dead.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actor Tenoch Huerta revealed the two Marvel Cinematic Universe characters he’d like to meet, but they’re both dead. After the untimely death of King T’Challa/Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Wakanda struggles to continue his new outreach mission without his leader. However, when a new threat to the African nation arises, the people of Wakanda must band together and confront the forces of Talocan, an ancient underwater city led by Namor the Sub-Mariner (Huerta).
The final film of Phase 4 of the MCU sees the return of many characters from its billion dollar predecessor, including Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), Okoye (Danai Gurira). ) and Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett). However, it introduces several new faces to the MCU, such as Riri Williams (Dominque Thorne), a young genius inventor who builds a Tony Stark-style armored suit to become the hero Ironheart, and Namor, the undersea mutant who wants nothing more. than to protect his people. The character has several details taken straight from Marvel Comics, including his winged ankles that make him fly, and pointy ears.
In a recent red carpet interview with Jake’s TakenHuerta shared the two MCU characters Namor would love to meet outside Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The actor mentioned both Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). However, both characters were killed in the last two avengers movies. Read what Huerta said below:
“I mean, it would be great to meet Iron Man, you know? Black Widow, I think it would be great. I admire them both. And yes, those characters were that good.”
Can the MCU multiverse bring Namor, Iron Man and Black Widow together?
With both Iron Man and Black Widow clearly dead and Namor just introduced, the opportunity for the characters to meet within the MCU is pretty slim. However, due to the nature of the multiverse, previously killed characters can return. Avengers: Infinity War had Gamora (Zoe Saldaña) sacrificed by Thanos to get the Soul Stone, but in the next movie, an alternate version of Gamora returned to help the heroes take down her adoptive father. With the MCU just starting their Multiverse saga, the shared universe in Phases 5 and 6 may have plenty of opportunities to allow Namor to interact with Stark and Romanoff.
However, it’s easier said than done to properly bring these characters to life. The story should logically ask for their return so that Iron Man and Black Widow’s appearance doesn’t feel like a cheap cameo. Instead, use the characters together in the animated multiverse series Marvel’s What If…? can give the public what they want while avoiding any perceived indulgence. The medium also allows the studio to resolve issues with Downey and Johansson’s contractual return, as rearranging their voices with different actors is a viable option. Anyway, with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever a week away, the public will have to wait much longer for Namor’s introduction to the MCU.
