One killed, two injured in traffic collision in Antioch

A two-vehicle accident in Antioch on Friday night left one person dead and two others seriously injured, authorities said.

The collision occurred at approximately 10:18 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 4 and Lone Tree Way before it turns into A Street, according to the Antioch Police Department.

One person, identified as a man, died at the scene. Two occupants of the same vehicle were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The occupants of the other vehicle were not injured and remained on scene.

One of the vehicles was traveling south on Lone Tree Way when it collided with the other vehicle as it exited eastbound State Route 4 and turned north onto Lone Tree Way, police said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The identity of the murdered person will be released after his family is notified.
