El Sobrante man shot in Oakland – The Mercury News

OAKKLAND — A 45-year-old El Sobrante man was shot multiple times in the Uptown district on Wednesday night, authorities said.

He was in a stable condition in a hospital with wounds to his back and foot.

The shooting was reported at about 9:56 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of 24th Street.

The man was shot by another man who fled before police arrived on the scene. At least six shell casings have been recovered, according to police.

Police have not said why the man was in Oakland or what prompted the shooting. No arrests have been made.

Oakland Police and Crime Stoppers are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Anyone with information can call the police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
